Alternative to coolants


As an alternative to coolants or in combination: Provides cooling, reduces wear and welding – absolutely no residue.

Functional principle

The cooling nozzles work according to the vortex tube principle and serve to generate a rapid cooling of the tool and/or workpiece.

The incoming compressed air is swirled in the generator chamber and divided into two air streams.

Due to the geometry, the outer, smaller part of the air along the vortex tube is compressed, accelerated (speed of sound) and escapes as hot air through a needle valve. The internal air spiral has a slower movement, releases heat to the faster air and is fed as cold air via the cooling tube to the tool or workpiece.

Model/design

The cooling nozzles of the KD series are available in different designs and differ in air volume and cooling capacity.


They consist of the aluminium vortex pipe, the built-in generator, the mounted cooling pipe with external thread, a threaded compressed air connection and a control valve for the hot air end.
Other optional equipment such as connections, control, filter regulators, brackets and air nozzles are available on request.
